I'm trying to decide which motor would be better for me. I've been thinking about the ST205 motor, but its pretty expensive. I don't plan on keeping the w2a intercooler...i want a FMIC instead. Should i just save my cash and buy a 1st or 2nd gen motor instead? Is the ST205 built better than the others?

the st205 is the best one.

if you cant afford it, go for the 2nd gen.

stay away from the 1st gens tho.

Your profile says, "No more turbo plans, NA IS BEST." Go with a 3sge if you believe this. Or go with a 4age 20v, silver or black top. Silver top is a lot easier to find and cheaper. There's a lot of info on it around here. And I'm backing Lagos up on this one, like he actually needs it, the 3rd gen is the best.

Screw the under powered and over priced 4age if you want NA go with a real motor 3SGE. You won't lose too much power if you go 3rd gen 3SGE over a 3rd gen GTE.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

get the beams 3s-ge. The silvertop is underpowered has to be revved to get all the power out of it.

Not easy to come by, or swap.
