Has anyone successfully plugged any type of mp3 player (in my case, an IPOD) to a stock head unit? Is there a wire I can buy to do it or something? We all know this would be sweet.

When i had the unit, i did it the ghetto way and used a tape adapter, you can also use one of those FM transmitters, although i didnt have much luck with those. (mine was also a cheap one from wal-mart).

cassette or fm transmiter is probably the only option since there is no line in on the back of the stock head unit

get a tape deck adapter since the clarity is way better than that of an FM transmitter.

i'm only using an FM transmitter in mine only cuz my tape deck makes loud ticking noises when it plays a cassette.

No get an FM Modulator. They are around $30-40 and the clarity is perfect. It actually is a little box that you must get power to as it sit inline with the antenna to the radio and actually "turns off" all other signal coming in and only allows what you plug into the audio plug come through on a set station. These are cheaper than an FM transmitter in most cases and so much better yet everyone still buys the crappy tape thing and transmitters. Go to best buy, the modulator there is right by the wiring and mounting kits and is like 40.99
