If you need parts I can organise them for you and get them sent direct to you - let me know what you're after. I'm in Australia but I can accept Paypal payments, and I have plenty of contacts in Japan who can source parts wink.gif

in terms of price, it MAY be cheaper than buying local however I don't know what the price of parts in Philippines are. You might save on shipping costs but it depends if she has luggage space to bring it back! hehe

What parts are you after?

It's going to be about $1600AUD shipped, if I recall correctly.

+ any customs/taxes upon receipt at your end (not sure how USA works with customs, if it's as much ownage as Australia!)

he's in Canada by the way..
i've purchased many things through ebay from Japan, Hong Kong, USA and i've noticed that when things are sent Airmail, I probably have never paid for customs. so i would say that airmail is the way to go..

when i went to the Phils last winter, they have this one district in Manila called Banawe where its practically one shop after another. all i can say is that rims and interior Momo products are probably the best thing to get (they're like $500 for a set of 17s). but most of their aftermarket parts are pretty crummy and are not worth buying.

also i would assume that Toyota parts purchased from foreign dealers are relatively close in terms of prices compared to other dealers.. it's just some dealers may charge a little more to make profit. and looking at JDM headlights for example, i don't think they'd be that much cheaper but i guess it's probably worth checking.

That's including shipping, via TNT Express, for a brand new set. Not secondhand.

how much is shipping?

I wish I could do better on shipping, however I can't change the form of shipping my supplier uses - TNT Express isn't exactly cheap, and it's quite nasty on customs over here in Aus... frown.gif

+ there's 15% customs tax, + brokerage fees, + 10% GST on top of EVERYTHING. Sucks buying parts here. At the end of the day, you could be paying well over double the advertised price of an item from overseas... *sigh*

maybe I should move to the US... but then I wouldn't have my ST205 laugh.gif

damn. Your dealers don't try to rort you over like they do over here in Aus!

in Australia, the local Toyota dealer said that they wanted $1100AUD - for ONE LOWBEAM. I didn't even want to ask about the highbeams redface.gif

customs and brokerage really sucks in canada... i always wondered... isn't there this NAFTA thing that allows tax-free trade between countries in north america? so then... why are we still taxed so heavily???
