I may go buy one from Sports Authority but wasnt sure if anyone knew of any secret warehouse priced ones somewhere on the net! If you know of anyone selling one let me know! :-D lol!!!

Can't help you there. I forked out $800 on a Nordic Track one. I don't like to cheap out on equipment like that. I kinda did on a treadmill and you can tell it's cheap. It just doesn't feel safe when using it. I think a cheaper elliptical wouldn't be as bad as a cheap treadmill though.

I love the elliptical machine for cardio. I'm an offensive lineman, so I'm a fairly big guy, and running on a treadmill hurts my knees. Ellipticals are cool cause they are low impact.

Hey Nat, I used to work at Sears in the Sporting Goods department and sold tons of ellipticals. Like mentioned above, don't cheap out on them or else it could be dangerous. I'd say get a NordicTrack or a larger Pro-Form model if you're going to get something from Sears, otherwise shop around. But get something that your comfortable with, meaning the stroke, accesibility, size, etc. Good luck!

I ended up buying a ProForm 700 last night. It was originally about 500 bucks but got it on sale for 250.

Then they said it was an extra 150 to have it delievered and assembled and i was like HELL NO pack that thing in the Solara and ill help my dad put it together. haha they couldnt fit in the trunk so we laid back the front seat and had jammed in there. I couldnt see out the right side of the car.

oh and then my dad told me that the supra is more important than me! that was great! thanks dad! lol! we were carrying it thru the driveway into the garage and my hand hit the supras side mirror and he went F*CK and i went dad it was my hand dont worry and he said "YOUR HAND WILL GROW BACK" and im like "WTF"

anyways ok well thanks for the tips guys! :-) i hope this one works out for me. I bought the 1 year service agreement so then if something goes wrong someone will come out and fix it.

I hate people like you, all tryin to fit big things into little cars, lol

I work at best buy, last night someone came in with a cavalier coup and tried to get my to put a 42" plasma in the trunk. I was like, "Uh, I don't think this is going to work." But they always refuse to give up, she's like "oh, ummmm, let's try it like this." "No, it's not going to fit, go get a truck or have us deliver it" "let's try it one other way."

*slaps her.

aaaah i HATE those things!!!!!!

I have a obitrek (sp?) thingy that i NEVER go on cause it makes me feel all unbalanced. Idk, i'm a weirdo.

I just go on the treadmill, mine has the bars on it so you can move your arms and walk or jog or run at the same time, which is great, and an nice incline.

The only reason i ever used the Elliptical was because its low impact on my knee injury. But I got on the treadmill now two times a day for 30 min each time and I just put some ice on my knee and suck it up.

now that i have ruined this thread with my useless post...

what about going to a department store like sears? i hate that store because all they are good for is appliances and tools and things of that sort, but i know they carry all these weight loss machines. Do you even have those on the West Coast? hmm. ok, i'm done.

It is very uncomfortable, and i'm not really "large". I wear a reg bra, a sports bra, and a tank top that has a built in bra-support thingy when i work out.

nevermind... i had advice on an elliptical, but i read the rest of the post and noticed you already bought one. well for anyone else on a budget, this elliptical: Fitness Quest Eclipse 1100 HR/A, is highly recomended @ 400 smackers. Thats only if you can't afford a $1200+ one or havent got time to go to the gym. So says the reviews I've read.

gym memberships are a waste in my opinion. i spend 266 bucks a month on one gym then 5 dollars a day each time i go to the other gym for cardio!

like i said this was a 500 marked to 250. I dont need a durable one. I only need it for a year till im moved out.
