I was thinking of wiring some red neons in my car at the footwells, in the back, possibly cut my side rear panel and place some neons in there and put a sheet of plexy glass over it to kinda give the car the whole red effect that my interior would have. I was thinking of making a fiberglass panel to put next to my cig lighter with toggle switches on them to turn them on and off. Does anyone think this would be kinda cool? Just curious what everyone else is thinking. I might just stay simple and do the footwells and maybe a bar or two in the back on the floor or somefin. ALL OPINIONS NEEDED!

Absolutly, dont over do it. I have the blue neon wire that is along side the doors and one bar up top by the sunroof. It gives the whole car a blue look and is not to much, i dont think...... it is hooked up to a blue led switch up by my clock. pics on profile....

I think the footwells look cool too, as long as you can't see the actual bulb and you only see the glow. And make sure not to drive with the neons on, or you may end up like me and get a $171 ticket for them.

Well what I was planning on doing is do a cut out design on my rear side panels. Then install a neon bar inside on the side of the decal so you can't see the bulb...same with the footwells. I don't wanna be able to see the bulb but I just want it for the nice glow so the whole interior illuminates red.

Not to make you turn away from your already great idea, but I've also seen the glows you can put in that only light up when your car shakes, aka bass. I don't know if you have a subwoofer or not but it makes the neons all that much hotter.

Coomer how in the Hell did you get a ticket for the interior neons being on? now I can understand if they were the underbody ones but not inside your car while you were driving. Im also going to be doing this soon.

I like the neon glow on the interior and on the exterior. I'm doin all my interior with black lights and gonna try to find purple that will match the outside. As far as gettin a ticket for interior lights, i think it's a load of crap! I know here in kansas that if the bulbs are showing then you can get ticketed but just for the glow then nothing can be done. I would seriously fight that BS charge if it happened to me.

this is what i did for my front passenger and back footwells.....i put blacklights underneath the glove compartment and under the front seats and bought clear floormats. they soaked up the rays from the blacklight and glow this bluish purple. i wanted to do this cuz it lit up only the mats and not the whole footwell. also if u have white shoes theyll glow, also chicks dig it cuz their nail polish glow too wink.gif

edit: i also have regular blue neons on hte side door pockets and dome light which match the color of the mats when they are glowing

Coomer if you haven't forgotten this thread can you give us more detail on why you were booked? - Is it because they were the same colour as police lights or something?

I always get eyeballed by cops when I have my dash lights on - Because from other cars you can see into our celicas really easily.

Soo - I only turn them on why I am in race mode - Suprising how many more people rev it up when they are switched on.
