Do i have to buy new side fenders along with other parts to have GT4 hood on without that nasty gap? Basically, can i just buy the GT4 hood and slap on the new front kit on, thus removing the OEM bumper...will this still cause the front of the celica to have a nasty gap? I read the sticky, but it mention nothing about the hood mix in with other kits or if i needed to buy any new fenders with the hood for fitment..thanks for your help!

unless the new bumper is designed for the gt4, you'll have the gap.

You would need to buy a kit that's specifically for the gt-4. Most of these kits are only available in europe/japan. Otherwise, if you buy a vis kit there will be a gap. If you look at neverstop's profile you can see that the gap isn't that bad, I think it looks kinda good on his kit. As far as fenders go, you'll have no problem either way. The only dif between U.S. fenders and others is the placement of the side indicator. It's up by the door on J-spec/euro and in front of the wheel well on the U.S. spec. Hope this helps.

I believe you cant have the GT-4 hood without the GT-4 bumper or vice versa without the gap.
You can use the C-One bumper with the GT-4 hood.

That kit is is designed to line up with the stock hood, it's not ment for a GT4. The c-one kit they were refering to was the GT4 kit which has a bulge between the head lights. Take a little peek in the part database and look at the differences your self, is quite obvious why mixing and matching hood and bumper combo's won't work when your using GT4 parts.

^ He could get the zyclone kit and then get the Carbon Fiber Zyclone hood. Like Chanh. GT-4 front without the bulge.

i see, so i must get the c-one front specifically for the GT4, so there won't be a gap right, and if i do not, the regular c-one for the ST204 with the GT4 will still give me a gap? why can't the chasis for all 6GC be the same...makes it so much easier! Thanks again you guys/gals for the opinions!!

that's correct, the hoods are different to account for the gt-4's top mount intercooler(TMIC).

The GT4 fenders are a little wide around the tires, but the lines around the hood are the same as your stock fenders. No need to do anything there unless you want. The only difference is like everyone said...in the hood and front bumper.

I now know there will always be a gap, but last question: Is there something that i can possibly do to cover that gap up, like that rubber protector between the hood and top end front bumper? *I really want the GT4 hood that i will soon order, but i have already bought the c-one front bumper and want a clean installation look with the GT4 and c-one bumper made for the ST204... frown.gif

Your right that hood is made for non-GT4's. c-one makes both styles. Your might not want to see the price of that hood though...bulletproof

i never figured out why ppl just dont get a gt4 hood and then a zyclone hood.... Then get a peice of foam shave/shape it a buldge to match the hood and then fiber glass and finish it off.

I was thinking about this but then found a gt4 hood taht came with a bumper and jdm side fenders.

You could always do what neverstop did. Cut the bumper, and raise it up to match the hood and reglass it.
