I will be adding a carbon fiber hood this year,I`m wondering someone can answer a question forme? The question is,do I have to use hood pins,or can I still use my oem latch?
I would sware that I have many C.F hoods wthout hood pins.Could you all shed some light on this situation for me? biggrin.gif tongue.gif

No need for hood pins, had mine for a year and it's been fine.

Edit: What we have aren't the type of CF hoods that require pins anyway. Ours aren't really for racing applications. It's fiberglass overlaid with CF...not just pure CF. It'll stay down.

are u talkin about the piece on the hood its self or the latch mechanisim, when i bought my CF hood the hook was attached to the hood, BUT if it hadnt then im not sure what i would have done because the piece on my factory hood is not removeable.
