How can you have a shorter sway bar? It needs to connect to th endlinks...

well, the thing is, my sway bar links are in a bind, and my mechanic said if its possible to get a shorter sway bar, then it might fix the problem. idk what the hell is wrong w/ my sway bar and links, but they're knocking against the frame whenever i go over a bump and i cant seem to find any solution to this other than a different sway bar maybe.

how are your swaybars hitting frame?
they would literally have to go up about 12" or more

Your sway bar is ontop of your crossmember, if thats hitting anything you have a suspension problem.

12 inches? Try about 1" clearance on a lowered car.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

in the front i could see them being about an inch..i've been looking through all my build pics and it seams they are just outside the frame rail into the wheel well by a little bit but cause of camera angles it is hard to see..thanks for the ammendment jay..(although it doesn't say he's lowered in his profile)

but i guess they might have gotten bent? or have a control arm problem?
possible to get a picture of where is connecting with the frame?

I would never want to take the sway bar off ever again after the pain I went through last night with the endlinks.

Are the links on the correct way round? If not, then they are liable to hit the subframe. Try turning them round so the bolt passes through the end of the bar on the other side of it. ie rotate the link through 180 deg of its vertical axis.
