im running a 2nd 3sgte and i went to take emissions today expecting to fail but i passed with flying colors! i took the test in WA state, they put me up on the dyno and took my car to 25 mph. so you dont have to be to worried about emissions in WA. dont know about other states.

well im thinking about selling it, because of some tickets and my insurance may drop me and i cant afford to get anymore tickets right now, and im not sure i can do that in my car soo im not really sure how much im looking for. i have around 12k invested. i had to pay 7g's to a bmw shop for labor on the swap, but now the car runs 100% stock.

its the visual inspection that the jdm 3sgte of any generation will not pass. add an egr valve and cat and tell the inspector that the engine is newer than the car and it will pass.

there is no visual in WA and i dont think they do a visual many places maybe cali but i doubt anywhere else. my cig lighter doesnt work so they had to pop my hood and were looking all around under there i got kinda scared but they never noticed. you got to remember these arnt toyota trained pros looking there just run of the mill people doing the same old job day in and out. lol the guy who did mine was a from another country and he had the same first and last name, so i doubt he knew that was a diff engine. but he was a very very nice guy. unlike this really bitchy ladie who was yelling at him everyone once and a while, i felt bad for him.
