on another note -- does anyone have any information on shipping to canada from the US -- the rate quotes I'm getting from DHL and UPS are over $100 -- more than what the item cost -- after speaking to the representatives - they said they only use one international rate, which is express - no standard, no ground - nothing cheap -- thats hard to believe --

and USPS - won't accept my package saying the size is more than what they can handle - and if i choose to go through with it - the surcharge will be very high

any suggestions from the canadian community is appreciated --

what i'm trying to ship off are my side skirts to kash1355

yea..it is kinda stupid, they do only use 1 rate to ship up here, but its vise versa, we only have 1 delivery method, but theres no set rate, it mostly depends on the weight and size of the item being shipped. My friend im workin with right now is sendin a H22 block and main caps from here, Toronto, to Lincon Nebraska for $121. Also, if you send n e thin automotive related, its gonna get tagged at the boarder because any thing entering the country thats auto related has to pay duties on it.

ill talk 2 my buddy Mayo and see what he says about shipping. He found a website that deals with shipping, where he got that $121 quote for a block.

whenever i order from the states i try to stay away from ups... otherwise it's like an extra 21.1% + their outrageous brokerage fees... i think fedex is a BIT better...

but i do notice businesses can send large items via ups for incredibly cheap rates... (like $20-$30)

yeah me too !! I HATE UPS !!

not only do they charge up the a$$ in brokage fee, they are always breaking my packages. I've had very few undamaged box coming from them, too many insurance claims, too many hours spent on hold.

I am avoid them at all costs, eventho it's very hard to avoid.
