I want know if my ECU blow if I use 5sfe (213cc) injector resistor pack on 3sgte engine (550cc)

ive read some places that some people run without their resistor packs, im pretty sure the resistor pack just changes resistance when you need more fuel and the higher resistance sends more fuel.. or something like that, so if you take it off, youll be getting max fuel all the time.

its not recommended as i read a couple threads that were like "did i blow my engine up by not using a injector resistor pack" but if you had to do it for a couple days untill one came in the mail im sure it would be ok..

i dont know about using the 5sfe one though.

Dont, use the 3sgte one. Dont by pass the resistor pack.

Dont, use the 3sgte one. Dont by pass the resistor pack.

ok 5sfe dont have resistor pack, So I find in Service manuel that 3sgte resistor pack have resistance between 4-6ohm... So I will try whit 5ohm resistance of 10watts 4x

the 3s has low imp injectors. the 5s has high imp.

you shouldnt try to ghetto rig anything up when it comes to your injectors. one mistake, and there goes your motor.

after 2 year of search I think the homemade version is my last solution

where have you been searching? because i see them on ebay, mr2oc and alltrac.net all the time.

btw.. .your motor is not from an st205. you have a 4th gen caldina motor.

ok tanks I work on this way...so I looked on ebay very often

Now have st205 engine I have sold my caldina st215 engine

I saw that st185 have the 5ohm resistor too... the only diffrence is the connecteur 5 pin and st205 have 6pin ...so it's have only 5 wires in the both version..

thats exactly what i did... i by-passed just to see if the motor would start... at the same time i had one coming in the mail from a guy at alltrac.net



it worked fine at idle... but i dont know the effects of it if driven.
