So I detailed my car this weekend and finally got some decent night pics of it with my digi.

my new Alpine 9853, figured after the break-in last week it was a good excuse for a better head unit

thanks! I've always been a fan of stock looking cars, or at least stock with OEM stuff like splitters/skirts etc

I've got Sus Tech swaybars under it right now, and KYB GR2's and Tein S-tech's are next on the list after brakes (gotta fix stuff before adding toys biggrin.gif )

looking good mate, i agree with you, stock oem is the way to go.. not too out there but distinct enough, no ridiculous bodykits etc. greta digi cam. what settings did you set on it? i've been triying to find a way to get nice night pics..

All I did was put it on it's highest setting (6.2 megapixels) and turn off the flash. Since it needs a long exposure I used a tripod to get rid of shaking. The tripod was pretty cheap ($8 special) so I still had some shake from pressing the capture button. I would line up my shot, and use a 10 second timer so there was no shake from me pressing the capture button. Otherwise everything was just standard settings biggrin.gif

I used the "Matrix" LED's from Autolumination, definitely satisfied with them!

It's a Nikon Coolpix L1. It's 6.2 megapixels, 5x optical zoom and 3x digital, 2.5 inch LCD screen on the back. I believe it'll capture as much video as you can fit on your memory card. I picked the camera up at Best Buy for $250 (been told there's better deals online) and my 2 gig memory card for $80. I absolutely love the camera for a point and shoot, it's small enough to put in my pocket and takes great pictures. Can't go wrong with a Nikon IMO smile.gif

hehe yeah, I used the close up of my wheel as my desktop, I chopped the 2800x2200 version to fit my 1280x1024 biggrin.gif

Beautiful shots....car really looks great! thumbsup.gif

Check out my topic further down in GD, I took a ton of night shots too the other night. Same method, using low light and a tripod.
