well, my engine needs to be replaced but while I get the money and locate a NICE engine I wanna start installing some of the stuff that I have for the car.
5th gen mirrors side skirts ( coming ) raiser blocks they are like ready to paint but, what do I have to do to paint them my self ? sand them out ( with ??? 500 ? 1000 ? 2000 ? sand paper sandable primer and sand them out again # ? ready to paint ? guys I need to know what to do, what order and if you have a brand to you think would work better, tell me that too. I was afraid to mess up the look by doing it myself but if I don't start trying I won't learn so if something comes bad lookingl, I'll start over and redo it again. I can get most of the stuff for free so tell me what I need so I can entertain myself till my celi get ready to roll again. thanks -------------------- |

Back on topic...
You'll want to scuff up the surface before shooting it with primer. Wetsanding with 320 or 400 grit sandpaper will work well. Then you'll want to sand the primer down so that it's smooth with something like 400 grit sandpaper and then paint. -------------------- New Toyota project coming soon...
