I just wanted to announce that my car did produce 205WHP @ 6psi. I have to retune on 15psi, which we would probably bring me to 300WHP.

Just thought that I would share this with my fellow 6GC members.

Please give your input!

I did not have a boost controller to turn up the boost. So to be safe they tuned my car at 6psi.

i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this.

a ct20b COULD do it, a ct26 wont. It will run out of breath, the injectors are going to be stressed to the max as well. Not to seem rude, but a 9psi increase will not give you 95whp. And if you do crank it that high, your putting a lot of strain on the turbo and injectors. Also at what rpm did your peak happen, with a front mount on a small turbo like the ct26 im assuming would cause crazy lag. What clutch did you choose to go with? Also not to debate the small stuff, you keep saying you didnt have a boost controller but listed in your mods is a Turbo XS MBC?

Say no to pea-shooter turbos.

I will post some pics b4 the weekend is up! I am running a CT26 stock turbo, 3SGTE Motor with the all-trac tranny...I upgraded cams shafts, cam gears, injectors and fuel pump--all of which contributed to 205WHP at only 6psi.

I'll keep you all posted!

When you did your cams, did you do a shimless bucket conversion or os valves with springs? 15psi on a ct26 is a lot, but if its what you want I wish you the best of luck. Especially on a stock transmission (or im mistaken you said all-trac tranny meaning you did an AWD conversion?) and clutch. Was the swap a USDM motor with low mileage or a JDM GENII swap?

I imported a front clip from Japan. So everything[u] is JDM. I have a 6 poc race clutch with 272 cam shafts with fuel upgrade and aftermarket stand alone computer.

the 550's will be maxed at 300whp (please dont take it as unbelieving you, just trying to figure out your setup) Might I ask why you did camshafts but no valves when the headwork began? Im also assuming you did poly bushing and mounts to help eliminate the wheel hop problems, or at least limit it. Why not upgrade to a ct27 and give the turbo a little more room to breathe?

My answer is simple--limited budget. I will eventually go for a bigger setup when financially possible. As for now, I did the neccessary. I have to get my car back in show condition now that I have reasonable "GO"
