So i have the engine about to drop, but now with the wiring almost out of the way i have some vacuum issues to figure out.. and the diagrams i have are completly useless.
I have three vacuum lines that i am unsure of right now. Two come out of the top of the intake manifold and proceed across the sticker that says toyota... well here is a pic instead: and the other comes out on the passenger side of the intake manifold near the throttle body heres a pic: and another pic it is the one on the left of the two, (the one with the black spiral cover thing) thanks in advance Jesse This post has been edited by jcbass7: Jun 28, 2006 - 9:30 AM |

the 2 in your 1st pic go to your charcole canister, and/or egr (for USDM motors) . you really dont need them hooked up and can just put vac caps on them.
the other one goes to your map sensor, aka turbo pressure sensor. -------------------- 15PSI - 30MPG - Megasquirt Tuned

With the 2 lines the one closer to the center of the engine is the charcoal cannister.

ok, i'm going to hook up the charcoal canister and such for the chance i might pass emissions
is the map sensor mounted on the firewall? or under the intake manifold? thanks guys PS: the engine is a JDM 1993 all-trac ohhhh yea in the second picture under where the intercoolel hooks in, there is a fitting hanging there made out of brass maybe or whatever, but i think its my throttle body warmer? well im not sure where to hook it its just dangling right now, This post has been edited by jcbass7: Jun 28, 2006 - 3:46 PM |

I'm not sure which one to block off though... I still haven't figured that one out for my swap. The MAP sensor is mounted to the firewall. I keeps the sensor from vibrating along w/ the motor. The fitting there looks like it is for your cold start injector... Don't try to start the motor without that hooked up, or fuel will spray EVERYWHERE! -Charlie -------------------- 2003 Subaru WRX Wagon
