A lot of people have troubles with the passenger side vent, Its poorly designed and once its in, it kind of stays in. Keep working on it slowly as I have heard that people have broken the clips trying to get it off.

I got mine off from behind the vent but I had to take out the glove box. pm me if you want details of how I did it.

I suggest prying from the top and bottom rather than the sides. You'll probably break the vent if you pry from the middle on either side (the hinge that allows the vent to swivel is right there)

ok, so i broke my passenger side vent when i did mine. but, it seems if you go from the top, you have to kind of use your screw driver to go back and up a little, behind the vent (on the top), then press down to get the metal clasp to release from the dash... its a pain in the izzass... be very careful............
