Since I have swapped my EU 3S-GE engine for a JDM 3S-GTE I now have one downside on the whole swap. It is limited @ 112 mph. VERY VERY Annoying. I dont do street racing or do a lot of speeding on the Highway but once in a while I would like to take the car to the track (Zandvoort Circuit or Assen where the TT is held, but moreover the Ring!!) So it would be nice if I can go all the way, in a safe manor of course, first the GT4 brakes will be installed before I'm doing such things.

Beforehand I already knew about the HKS SLD and recently discovered that Apexi also had something to get rid of the limiter. With the Rev/Speed meter you can do alot of things, 1/4 mile 0-100km/h 0-200km/h etc. Very interesting. Can be delivered with an additional G Sensor so you can eliminate false reading because of wheelspin.

But the questions remains, whats the best way to remove the Speed limit? HKS SLD and the Apexi meter only have a price difference of about 60-70 dollars so that not worth mentioning. Someone here that has a cheap solution (just cutting the wire?) or know that this device will do the trick? I love all them numbers and statistics so if the Apexi would work it would be fun.

I don't but if you install a switch on your speed singal wire and flip it open when you reach 110 mph you will go past the speed limiter but your speedo gauge will drop to 0 but its still a 25 cent SLD

That's just the thing. I dont want to do that smile.gif Unless I have a aftermarket meter like this hooked up so I can still see how fast I am going. I was hoping that I could install this meter and still maintain the normal speedo. Thats why I need someone with experience using it to anwser but I guess no one here has used it frown.gif
