I have a 6 inch scratch that is kinda dented in on my hood. Also I have some nicks here from little rocks while driving on the freeway. So I was thinking of getting my whole hood repainted. The Auto body shop quoted me for taking out the dent and painting about $550 to $600.

Am I over charged?

How much is a CF hood for our cars?...$800?

$550 shipped from Cali to New Jersey (VISRacing) See Sig.

I know someone so if you are interested let me know and i'll hook you up with his email address or telephone number. They cost that much because not many order them for our car but I think it's worth it biggrin.gif wiggle.gif

edit
oh yeah, myself, 1bwilson and AUMCelica are the only guys with a C/F hood on a sixth gen that i've seen on here...it's nice to be one of a kind tongue.gif

so how much do you think repainting a hood should be?

I live in Cali so is the CF hood cheaper than $550 because I'm here?

No I don't think that will work. Its been posted that if you buy the bumper without he hood there will be a gap, so I assume the same is true. You have to buy both.

you dont have to buy both, you can just buy the hood, it will have a gap, but the gap actually looks kinda like another vent. it dosen't look to bad, I think someone makes a gt4 hood to fit our cars though

natalie has the gt4 hood and it looks great...and i am pretty sure they make one that fits well without a gap..i still think you should get the C/F hood it would look sweet but i am biased smile.gif

and yes, i think shipping for me was like $160 but i think you can not pick it up so it might be expensive but nowhere near as much as i paid wink.gif
