Obviously the 80mm is for Turbo, and 60mm is for running Stock, I know that. tongue.gif

I'm ditching my current Arospeed Custom Catback Setup to get something different. I'm looking to get the Apexi N1 Muffler thrown on a new Custom Catback Setup but I do not know which size I should get. I'm currently running some simple Mod's under the hood, but everything's bound to change in the next month or so by getting upgraded, like Short Ram to CAI. smile.gif Anyways, i'm going to be Turbo'ing my ST before Spring but I want to change the Exhaust ASAP so I can get my headers installed right away as well. Think it will kill anything if I run a 80mm Muffler on a Turbo-less engine for a little bit?

Also, do muffler shops install headers? :\

a shop should install headers, it's just a matter of if they ahve to remove a catalytic converter to do so. if they do, they won't do it...i know my ST came w/ a cat right there after the header combined..so if they know what it is, they prolly won't..but you never know..um...and running a 80mm tip won't make a difference, it's all about the exhaust pipe size, so the question is...do you wanna run a larger exhaust pipe before you go turbo..me personally, on a turbo ST, i'd run at least 2.5" piping, maybe even 2.75" (if it's out there)..iono if 3" would be too big...but i'd say it's gettin there...and yeah, runnin 2.5" and a 80mm tip on an NA engine, you'll be fine til it gets turbo'd...no worries at all. you may just notice that the exhaust will "gargle" somewhat like a boat (like bryan's tongue.gif ). so i say, GO FOR IT. it's not gonna hurt, and it's better than redoing it twice. wink.gif

I'm running 2.25" right now, I think I will go 2.5", but it gargles a bit already. Its very loud though, they removed the resinator and everything off of the Exhaust so it screams at full throttle, even more so when the pipe is band new.
