I took my car to a shop to get a new axle put in, to find out I have officialy lost my wheel lock key. I swear it was in the car somewhere... either I hid it so well that even I can't find it, or I forgot to put it back in after my previous wheel rotation.
So, what should I do now? -------------------- |

QUOTE(tomazws @ Aug 26, 2006 - 7:50 PM) I took my car to a shop to get a new axle put in, to find out I have officialy lost my wheel lock key. I swear it was in the car somewhere... either I hid it so well that even I can't find it, or I forgot to put it back in after my previous wheel rotation. So, what should I do now? what type of lock is it? i believe you can use a socket and hammer it onto the lock and presto....i took off a set of 94-96 gsr rims at the junk yard like that before using a size 19mm(i think, i'm not sure what size it's been too long)... I work for pepboys and we have a specail socket for lugs that are rounded. I used it to take off lug locks before. Go there they shouldn't charge you unless there dicks. We don't because it so easy.

if you kept the little label that came with the lugnuts when you bought them you can order another key. the label has the factory brand name, model and a key code. along with the address and phone number of where to order a new key.

It's an aftermarket lock, got it from America's Tire... they are Gorilla Locks, though... they don't have the serial number of my lock in the computer, so I can't take it to Gorilla and order an new key... brought to tire shops... all 3 of them said they'll need to break them, and might damage my rims... Contacted Gorilla again, and they told me they actually have something to take it out... so... let's see on that when they open again after labor day...

Turned out that America Tire Co. DOES have my key... so I got the key yesterday, quickly, but slowly drove my car to this shop to get my driver side axle swapped, but discovered the right front boot was cracked too. So ended up replacing the right front boot too..
Now... my car has really bad alignment. **** never stop coming at me... -------------------- |

discount tire and pepboys i beleive both carry the gorilla keys, all you need to know is the key number.
