hey dude's.. I recently bought my Celica, a 99 ST. I realise that power wise I'm not going to get much more out of it which I'm fine with.. however I do want to customise it a little...

What suggestions can you guys make, the ideas I currently had were

1) Exhaust, I want a Oval stainless steel exhaust... any one know any any makes that do one.. does it have to be ST specific or would a GT exhaust fit?
2) To give it that nice sound I quite fancied an induciton kit... I notice that pipercross don't do an ST specific model but K&N and Green do! Can you fit a GT kit to an ST?
3) My ST has got all round disc brakes (sweet, must be on the late models as the earlier ones just had drums I thought. My friend always recommended Black Diamond.. however I also see Greenstuff are pretty popular. Is there much difference? Also what are the benfits to having groved and/or drilled discs?
5) How easy is it to change the internal lights/LEDs to red? I've seen the how-to guide and looked pretty simple.
6) I fitted a new headunit but it protrouds out from the dash, anyway to set this back?

Any other worth while mods?

I'm UK based and new to this car modding thing (it wasn't worth it on my escort) so if anyone can recommend any websites as to where to get hold of bits and pieces, especially JDM or TRD parts that would be awesome.

Cheers

hey everything that youre looking for and asking about is fairly cheap. The Led light bulbs are the easiest. The exhaust can cost any where between 200-500 dollars. Your best bet might be to buy the muffler that you want and then take it to an exhaust shop and have them make your piping.

for street use stick with plain or slotted rotors
hawk hps pads bite great, but are dusty. theres always going to be that trade-off.
do you want an oval tip or an oval muffler? i have a generic stainless oval muffler off of a friends car, but shiping on it would make it more reasonable to buy one locally. you can get the generic straight through ones for pretty cheap, i think this one cost $45 or $50 when it was new.
the ebay header will also give you a nice sound, i have that and my rear muffler removed. its a very deep tone when cruising around 1500rpms, and it gets a little louder as the rpms go up. when you get all the way on it tho, its somewhat annoyingly loud.

Standard Celica discs are very good and worth considering....Black Diamond discs are prone to warping...try either TRD discs or EBC...both of which put up with the abuse served out from a GT4 so will easily manage on an ST........Green stuff pads...get the new ones which are supposed to be pretty good...the old ones are worse than using warm Mars bars and should be avoided...again TRD are pretty good....I dont think your car will ever be able to warm up the EBC redstuff pads enough to get them working well, again Toyota pads arnt that bad unless your going to throw it around a track.
