I recently had an accident with the Celi frown.gif and I have to replace the front bumper. If things went my way, I would go all out and get the C-ONE kit but unfortunately, money trees don't grow in my backyard. The only other real alternative for me is the TRD bumper.

I called my local dealer, they can't get it. Sent an email to Toyota world on monday, they haven't replied. Looked on ebay, no luck. Google : niet. 6GC : nope...

So I'm turning to you, fellow 6gc-ers to help me determine if this bumper is discontinued, if not where can I find it and for how much. Thank you all! biggrin.gif

i think you'll have better luck with the c-one bumper. i've only heard of one member, oreo, with the trd bumper and her totaled his car.

there's been rumor for a while now that this bumper has already discontinued..
however, japanparts.com still has it on their website. so you may want to try your luck and make an order claim on their site. they will e-mail you in about a couple of days.

yeah but luckily his TRD bumper wasn't on at the time of the accident... so the TRD bumper was spared. redface.gif

your dealer can get you just need to have a part number. its gonna be hella expensive though seeing as it is discontinued and speacial order from japan. id say go with the c-one....but youd get mad props if you had the TRD kit though.

No they can't. Tried with the part number already.

The problem I find with the C-One is that I can't really see myself putting on only the front bumper.

but youd get mad props if you had the TRD kit though.
That's the point. biggrin.gif

This is just some crazy ass idea, but what iff oreo sent his bumper to dcw for mass production....i think the trd is the hottest bumper out there, im sure it would make them both a ton of money????

i think me and oreo are the only people in the USA with it. at least that i've heard of. (the rest are in europe and japan of course)
I was lucky and got my local toyota dealer to get it for me, but yeah it is discontinued but they still proccessed my order, and of course it was made to order so it took like 3 to 6 months before I got it straight from the mold from TRD japan. It aint cheap though ~$1000. and I have Never seen anyone sell copies of it. EVER. (unlike the TRD Spoiler)

and I totally agree that it is one of the Best (if not the Best) designed front bumper for our gen celica. It should have been maded a dealer option. I would love to see more celicas in the US with them (rather than the veilsides running around... but thats just my little opinion)

basically it's the luck of the draw (if you have the resources) from this point on. (I bought it like iono...couple years ago) that japanparts.com would prolly be your last bet but it is a pretty risky bet without some kind of guarenttee

TRD bumper is NEARLY impossible to find, and IF you find it, it will cost you $1,500 for just the front bumper

I'd already looked on japanparts. 1800$ cad shipped to my door. Forget it. Stock bumper is 340$. I'll just get a lip later on.

I think shipping will boost the price enough to make it not worthy unless a huge number of people get the bumper. so good luck !

Well with my idea u wouldn't...by sending it to romas he could reproduce a "replica" so it wouldn't cost 1800 to get. Now im sure its not gonna cost 100 bucks like so pos kits, but i figure it would be significantly cheaper...just a thought
