when I bought my car used, the terminal that connects to the positive snapped and broke off. this is the part that contacts with the battery. Basically now it is not gripping firmly around the battery but just touching it. From the beginning I knew it was brittle because when I loosened and then tightened it, it would nod up and down. After a while we all know when metal gets bent multiple times especially in opposite directions, they snap off. How can I go about changing this? anyone have any steps or what type to get?

QUOTE(trdproven @ Nov 6, 2006 - 7:32 AM) when I bought my car used, the terminal that connects to the positive snapped and broke off. this is the part that contacts with the battery. You can purchase the actual OEM replacement ends if you'd like here or you could get a generic one at your local auto parts store. They'll have two types, one that is just the end clamp like the link and one that has short pigtails attached with usually a 4 gauge set screw connector and 12 gauge crimp connector. Any of the three should only take a few minutes to install but if your no comfortable cutting your harness get the OEM one. |

Thanks 95gt that really is assuring knowing that I don't have to cut. Is that all I need to know?
