Starcraftjunkie's post here and azian_advanced's answer made me think about suspension on 6g celicas bit. Since I have powerful thing (EPC ), I can find there many useful informations... like list of all shocks used for 6g celicas in Europe, US, Canada and Japan . And I have found interesting things (someone will not be happy after read this ). However, let's begin.
note: I have used for example front right shock's part number to compare all models... superstrut (2WD models): ST202 (Euro GT) ST202 (JDM SS2) ST202 (JDM SS3) superstrut (4WD models): ST205 (Euro GT-four) ST205 (JDM GT-four) mcperson (sport package models): ST202 (JDM SS2) ST202 (Euro GT) ST202 (Euro CV) ST204 (US/CND GT-S) mcperson (non-sport package models): ST202 (JDM SS1) ST203 (JDM SS1) ST202 (JDM CV) ST203 (JDM CV) AT200 (Euro ST) AT200 (US/CND ST) ST204 (US/CND GT) ST204 (US CV) results: - all mcperson Euro GT's has "sport package" ones - all ST's has same ones - there is some difference between SSS for GT-four and and non GT-four models - and last thing... Answer for "Have I 'sport package'?" question is: "Yes I have, if my celica is one of those below..." ST204L-BLMGKA (USA) ST204L-BLPGKA (USA) ST204L-BLMGKK (CND) ST204L-BLPGKK (CND) What do you think... Is my EPC wrong??? p.s.: for sure you can be only according VIN search in Toyota's part catalog... (or you think they should order you wrong part for your car via VIN?), so if you think you have "sport package", just PM me your VIN or try your local dealer... They should also know that This post has been edited by malpaso: Mar 31, 2008 - 6:23 AM -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)

According to your VIN you have ST204L-BLMGKK model, so you really have sports package suspension (btw.: you car is made 1994/08 ) -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... My model has sport package, the number you posted match my model number on the door sticker.
The sport package consisted of sportier suspension...and it seems its just not the struts, as the suspension arms and other lil parts have different parts numbers comparing SP vs non SP. -------------------- -Rémy 02 SiR, 08 250R |

I have used that one rear shock just for example. I believe there are many other things different for sure. My point was find some way how identify "sport package suspension" models because many people here would like to know that... I am curious myself. I see... . just briefly about groups because I really don't know all technical details of those 6 different shocks: 1. group MacPherson sport strut. Just common used suspension system, but bit "tougher" (it's better for sport driving and handling, cuz car "sit" on road better) 2. group MacPherson standard struts. Just common used suspension system, softer and more comfortable for daily driving. 3. group SuperStrut suspenision ones. Specific suspension system, more info here) any other specifications are welcomed -------------------- No more replicas... This is evolution... This is SS-four :)
