So what's everyone else doing this Thursday? Does anyone have to work? I don't have to work *whew*

This is the first year I'll have NO family to spend Thanksgiving with. kindasad.gif My parents & brother live in AZ & all my relatives live in Cali. My sister lives here but she is going w/ her husband to visit his family for Thanksgiving. Luckily my friend said I could spend it w/ her & her kids. She really doesn't have any family either...so I guess we can be each others family! If it wasn't for her I'd be spending thanksgiving alone! smile.gif

I work for like... 20 minutes...

I work at a vet and if there is ANY animal in the clinic someone has to come in and check up on it/feed it/water it/walk it whatever.

It makes me soooo mad though cuz I havta work on Christmas... I know its only like 20 minutes, but its the fact that I havta work and my boss gets to enjoy his holiday and not worry about checking up on things that makes me mad... He shouldnt allow animals to stay in the clinic over holidays... kindasad.gif Sorry I just like totally ranted about nothing laugh.gif

but besides that... Im having thanksgiving with my big family smile.gif its gonna be pretty sweet...

My parents arent doing thanksgiving cuz itd be just my bro, me and my parents and my bro is a vegetarian so theres no point.

So this year im going to my boyfriends house. Im a lil intimidated cuz theres supposed to be about 20 family members. YIKES! but im making banana bread to take over.

Its always stormy here in the seattle area on thanksgiving and I dont expect this one to be any different so hopefully the power wont go out or anything.

Since i live out in the middle of the country...and all my family lives out here too, we have the ultimate Redeck thanksgiving.

About 30 of us gather at my grandma's little ranch and there's the ultimate country feast. lol. mashed potatoes (or mashed a'taters as my grandma says it) ham, turkey, rolls, corn, cornbread, chicken, macaroni and cheese, dressing, etc.

Its pretty funny. Grandpa and uncles are usually arguing...place is covered in cigar smoke, people are out back shooting guns.

Oh yeah, last year...my 80 year old aunt got mad because she was told what time it all started wrong, and stormed off in her buick through the yard and tore down my grandpa's mole trap. He was really pissed.

Gotta love my redneck family. lol.

I'm heading over to my boss' house. Most of the AMCITs will probably get together at the Marine house for a potluck turkey dinner.

My family goes on vacation on all holidays that usually require preparing a meal because mom does NOT cook... I decided to stay home and enjoy not having to deal with their high drama antics and got some traditional turkey day fare for myself and my roomates if they are around smile.gif

10 of my friends including myself are heading to the NYC Macy's parade biggrin.gif Although it might rain though... if worse comes to worse we might just have a Wii Sport morning. Then spend time with the family
