I just came back from Bestbuy with 4 rockford 6.5 inch speakers. The size of the speakers were said to fit in my 95 ST hatch, but when i got home, the speakers were slightly smaller than the stock ones. Now i have 4 speakers that dont even fit, does anyone know for sure the size of the front and rear speakers for 95 ST hatch?

think its 8in in the front and 6.5 in the back. i just made some ghetto brackets to hold the front 6.5 speakers in.

The true size is closer to 6-3/4" but the 6-1/2" can be installed pretty eaisly. Eaisest way I've found without using an adapter is to use the new speakers grill ring as an adapter. Mount the speaker to the ring without the grill installed then screw the whole thing to the stock mount. The last ones I did the ring just barely covered the stock holes so I just notched the ring with a file and screwed it down. If you want you can also put a washer under the head of the screws but they shouldn't go anywhre even without the washers. I might not look pretty but behind the door panel you can't see it and it works great.

i have kickers in the front and clarion 6.5s in the back and it sounds great -------------------- |

I ghetto rigged my front door speakers with some Locktite glue and some slivers of Dynamat. They're holding up pretty well so far.
