Ok its nuts here. Us Northwest people arent used to snow like most people in the US so when someone says snow or ice then we freak out. Places around here got a trace of snow to 14 inches and people are going nuts. All schools are closed for the most part. This is due more to ice than snow. I had a co worker leave work at 4pm and a drive that normally takes about 45 mins to an hour took her 6 hours today. My friend who has about a 45 min drive as well is still not home and she left at 5pm today. Im so lucky to have a 5 minute drive from work to my house. But of course this means that im always expected to be at work even if the weather sucks cuz my dad can take me. lol!

Does the traffic get that nuts over on the eastcoast over just some snow and ice?

45 min turns into 6 hours? you can't be serious... everybody drives like an a hole the first snow/ ice in the TC once winter hits the roads but most come to there senses real quick... That IS nuts though...

My sister and dad are actually stuck In Issaquah right now on the freeway cuz of the snow... Last time my dad called he said traffic was going no where and that there were like 8 inches on the road and the snow was still coming down hard...

Theyve been gone for like... 3 1/2 hours now.

ok so I left last night from tacoma to go to work in tukwila, let at 9:15pm made it to federal way (little under 10 miles away, tukwila is a good 35) by 10:45 (I start work at 10) its a 35-45 min drive to work normaly. I called in and decided to turn around and go back, was just gana take the next exit maybe a mile up the freeway I was stuck in traffic. did not get to the exit till 2:30pm 3 ups double trailer semies slid to a stop and got stuck so they put there chains on blocking the whole freeway which was solid ice (no joke it was solid ice) at one point the truck in front of me died and i help push it off to the side, then I got my laptop out of the trunk and watched like 30 min of a dvd before i got bored of that then just sat there. made it to the exit past tons of broken down cars and some in the dich (all over basicly, middle of the road it was a nitemare) the offrap was trechuous, I'm so in love with my subaru seriouly its traction is 2nd to none, every car out there was slipping just to try and move, but it held down and went, the toyo's helped too, crazy good tires. but anyway got back just before 3pm since there was no traffic going the other direction just a sheet of ice that you cant drive more then 25mph on without spinning out. it was crazy. and the day before i had to take my g/f to work since her jeep could not drive wihtout sliding, i got to a little hill where like 3 cars were spinning trying to get up it, a bmw, areostar (minivan,) and some other pos suv having a horrible time, i just drove right up, AWD is the SH** my celica would have had a horrible time, it spinns bad enough in just rain.

what a night frown.gif hope tonights not the same its suppose to get colder frown.gif
