A friend is offering me a set of 205/45-16 Sumitomo HTR Z II all for $400 flat which includes mounting, balancing and all that jazz.
What I wanna know is are these tires worth the price? are there any other tires you guys would recommend? I'm looking for good treadlife, awesome/kick455 handling, and as much of a quiet ride as possible. Thanks, Alex -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

220 AA A is pretty good specs on a tire. It's going to wear out fast.

i picked up a set of 205/50-16 Hankook Ventus V4ES. Fully mounted and balanced for almost half of what Discount Tire would charge me. :smile: The tire shop said they're willing to service me for a free if not for a uber small fee if i'm willing to sport their sticker on my car.
i'm not complaining about how much I paid for'em, but does anyone have experience with the Hankooks? -------------------- -Alex {](O_o)[}

I had hankooks (Ventus HR-II) they were okay...they looked sweet but the performance was maybe a 6 or 7 at best. If you got em cheap use em, they aren't bad but they aren't great either.
I switched over to Toyo Proxes. I like the way they perform and are cheaper (not by much tho!). |
