My alarm system is going crazy! I think it is a fuse, but I don't know where to find it. The story goes like this- I had all the doors open (doors and hatch) while I was cleaning out the car and my key fob got pressed in my pocket and locked the doors. I then pulled it out and unlocked it. Now the little red light on my dash for the alarm is a solid red light AT ALL TIMES except when the car is running. It doesn't blink when the alarm is on, just a solid light- armed or not. It also doesn't give me the "joop" noise when I arm the alarm. It's silent. ANYONE!! please help me out!! Can this light being on at all times drain out my battery? Where can I go to look for the fuse for the alarm? Thanks!

I don't know where the Valet button is on the car. I didn't have the alarm installed, so its location is unknown. I checked under the dash and it isn't there. The light was gone when I got into the car this morning to go to work, but once i got to work and shut the car off it came back on.

maybe try this method:
unarm your alarm, get in yoru car, close the door, apply the brakes, ope the doors...wait, do u have the lights flash when u open the doors? it doesnt matter tho....turn ignition to off-on then let it sstay at ON position, close the door arm....the unarm leave teh car....arm it again.....ive tried this method and it worked for me......problem was i accidently hold the silent/un-silent button on my remote.....and after ive tried the method it worked fine ever since..... -------------------- |
