I've had a few Celicas in my life and currently have 2.
I love the styling, the look, their history, and the unique factor of the 6 gen. The GT-Four was my dream car for many years... edit: way to tear into a new guy on his 4th post on the forum This post has been edited by Batman722: Dec 13, 2006 - 4:54 PM -------------------- |

/\ +1... It is an open ended question you know...
Anyways, I've always appreciated celicas ever since I can remember when I was a kid... Even thought they aren't expensive by any means, or that rare if you really think about it, they somehow captivate people enough to make them think that there is somthing different about them that makes them that much more desirable -------------------- Car #3: 98 Accord LX- purchased 5/06, totaled 8/06
Car #2: 95 Celica GT- purchased 8/03, current daily driver Car #1: 01 Focus ZX3- purchased 5/01, sold 8/03 |

Styling of our cars is amazing. The car just does not seem like it is from the 90's. Exterior and interior wise the 6th gen was way before its time imo.

I love my 6GC too. I've had it since 2000 I think. Just love the way they drive, look, and feel. Aside from the Supra, they've always been my favorite cars. Although here lately, my Celi has been in the shop more than on the road it seems. It's in the shop again, and this time they can't figure out what's wrong. She's got 180k miles on her, but she still drives like a dream. People can't get over the age on her and the power she still has when I'm passing people on the highway. No matter what happens, I'd never sell her. She'll be parked until I can rebuild her completely if/when the time comes that she breaks down for the last time. That's just my 2 cents about why I love these 6GC's. By the way, this is my first one. I owned an Infiniti M30 Convertible before this car.

Proud Honda lover here too. . I love the 6gc so much that I'm willing to give up my beloved Honda civic to my little brother just so I can pick up another 6gc. I even have extra 6gc parts saved up for my next celica.

I've officially loved the 6gc since JAN 1997, i was 8 years old then, and when my dad was looking for a car i happened to spot a red 97 ST Limited. I said "Dad look at this one!"...he said it was too small and for less than the sticker he could get a Z28 lol. I still remember the price said $26,895.
Since then I got 4 6gens, now that they are alot cheaper lol. |

Another proud Honda lover here too...=] But only because they're cheap and easy to work on/find parts for. But as far as looks go, I still don't believe another car has even been made that matches the Celica's shear beauty. =]

I love my Celica so much, everytime I give her an oil change, I do it twice in a row the same day just to make sure the oil is clean.

i love my celica a bit.
sometimes when its late at night, you can drive by my house and see the garage windows all fogged up. thats when me and the celica get intimate, i first give her a good rubdown gently caressing her silky smooth body lines with some nice polishing agents, making sure i get into every crevice. she always lets my inside with just a flick of the wrist, shes so clean inside and out. she loves it when i rev her hard.... hahaha -------------------- |

You know for such a "pointless" thread it sure generated alot of Celica love.
I've had 5 Celicas - 6 if you count the one my parents had growing up that I only got to drive once. They are: '77 Celica GT Hatchback White [the rents car] '81 Celica GT Hatchback Red '84 Celica Supra Red '86 Celica GTS [with 3s-gte swap - my first real love] '95 Celica GT Blue '99 Celica GT Silver Also owned: '94 Camry XLE Green '02 Camry LE '05 tC Guess I just love Toyota but the Celicas were all my babies. The others were grocery getters. Need a 5th gen al-trac to round out the collection. This post has been edited by Negative: Dec 14, 2006 - 3:18 PM -------------------- |

Right after I left work last night on the way home some random guy in a chevy truck pulled up on me and a MR2 friend who car pools with me and asked if he could buy my car. I was like WTF? NO. He was pretty cool though, said he used to have a '94 GT, then a '02 GTS [which he said was slower? guess he never found the lift LOL] and now owns a tC. Says he wants to join up with HoustonToyotaClub and he will come on here to find a 6th Gen for sale.
It's things like that that confirm how beloved our vehicle is. Totally f*cking random. i get alot of that. -------------------- |
