anybody in Alberta, Canada that is willing to do a conversion for me and get paid for it. Please I have an idea of what's needed to be done having read all the instruction topics but if it's done by someone who knows it better then I think it's worth the extra money.

I had my conversion done by a local transmission shop. Go to your local tuning shop and ask for a recomendation of where they outsorce some of their transmission work. Then call the shop, tell them what you are thinking, and ask to come by and check out their shop. Hopefully they will give you a tour and show you some photos of some of the custom work they have done. Most common are the Manual to Atuo swaps. So finding a shop that is familar with those is a good bet. When you find a place you feel comfortable with, go with them.

honestly, get some friends who know a thing or two about cars and have them help you.
I know it sounds intimidating and you want a 'professional' to do it, I was in the same boat a while back. but its pretty straight forward and there are people here who can walk you through it step by step if you need help. at one point I wouldn't have even thought to attempt it without a trained professional but, looking back on it, I wouldn't have wanted it done any other way. I learned a hell of a lot and got to hang out with some friends for a few days. This post has been edited by hurley97: Dec 27, 2006 - 1:29 AM -------------------- |
