I took this 94 GT for a test drive a week ago and only reason i didnt buy it was that it made this really weird grinding noise.. almost sounds like when you drag something over concrete buti couldnt find anything on the underside hanging or notice anything that stood out with the suspension and the tires seemed fine.. anyone have any idea what it coulda been?

Might be a wheel bearing. I had one go bad and it sounded kind of like that.

I had a noise like that when my engine mount bolt fell out.. so the right side of the engine was sagging.. so it put pressure on the axle..

Only in movement, not when braking and wouldnt a bearing noise make a whinning noise? Actually thinking back the brakes did sink right in when you pressed em so maybe the pads were binding up on the caliper and just dragging really badly....

No, it usually sounds like a grinding noise from the wheel that varies with speed. Sometimes like a very very rapid clicking. |

I've had front wheel bearings go bad enough times for me to completely agree with you there. -------------------- 87 4runner DLX 22re, 5spd, 4.30gr, 4" lift, 30" tires, HID w/ Projectors, 6spkr + sub, custom exhaust, 94 celica leather seats, SR5 gauge cluster and clinometer.
