Hello I can't stand the design of the factory celica antenna. It does not fit the llines of the car at all when it is raised and being used.
-Is there another more modern antenna that one could use to replace the factory antenna? -Possibly use one off of a new car, I am thinking something that fits on the back of the roof with a low profile???? Any ideas??? Thanks.....Brandon |

-------------------- I think Bigfoot is blurry, that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra scary to me, because there's a large, out-of-focus monster roaming the countryside. |

that how to is pretty out dated, way to go is 6th gen manual reciever (antenna base, non power/extending) and the s2k antenna threads right on....or the 7th gen manual reciever..same deal.

-Do you have any pics of this setup or is there any aftermarket option?
-I really don't want to use anything resembling a regular antenna... |

well, idk alot about it, but as much as i know, all u need to get is the MANUAL antenna reciever, (not the mast, the black piece that goes inside your fender) and then put it in, then screw on the s2k antenna.
jdog has it he used the 6gc manual reciever, look how clean it is jdogs car, mine in back with broken antenna....its only retracted halfway -------------------- Kawi Love |

What about the new antennas on the saturn cars and GM. vehicles it looks sort of like a sharks fin. It might look good at the back of the roof on the celica. But I am not sure it would work?
-ANy ideas???? Thanks.... |

I seriously considered the s2k antenna, but I ended up doing an interior antenna and just disconnecting the stock one so it stays down. To me, I just don't like the look of any antenna, plus what I did didn't cost anything! Someday, I might even shave off the old antenna since I don't need it.

My antenna doesn't come up, but it still gets reception all the way down.. so I leave it there. I have thought about sticking the antenna in the fender or something and shaving off the stock one...*shrug*

Do those shark fins look good as a side mounted antenna?
Or do you relocate the antenna to the center back of the roof? -------------------- -M-
