Sorry to say, but my car has been totaled. Someone cut me off on the highway and I was forced to swerve….end result? Hitting the highway wall at 70mph. No one was hurt, but my car is finished. I’ll be getting some pics soon. It kinda hurts because my turbo set up was still young…but it is what it is. i have 2 grand worth in suspension and brakes here in my house to install…along with new megan pipe….system…all types of goodies…im just happy I didn’t install anything. My plan? Im going to save up and look for a 96-99. Get me a GT this time…I want a sun roof and rear brakes already there. No more turbo set up either…I’ll be ordering my front clip…that way I get the whole 3s…and gt4 front and hood…with lights. Its gonna take me a few months to get my new celi….but I’ll still be around.

:: update ::

here are the pics.

sorry to hear this guy

IMO you shouldn't get a 96-99, you should go for a 94-95. If you plan to turbo or swap you will never pass inspection in NY with a 96+ (OBDII). You should find a nice good body 94-95 GT and start from there.

best of luck

Thanks for the concern guys. the tranny actually played a huge part in the reason me and my friend are still alive. after i swerved to the right to avoid the car, i tried to pull it back left to straighten out, but no good...the car broke traction. i was heading for the wall sideways...there was no way i was going to let me friend hit the wall head on. so i had to pull the e-brake and streer into the wall....instead of a side on collision...we not went front on...but a little to the right side. the car was air born....and i those speeds i had no idea how i was going to stop it. i was soooo worried about traffic behind me....the only thing i though of was to force it into 1st gear and get off the clutch. its a bit crude....but it worked. i was able to stop pretty quick and gain what controll i could after being air born. needless to say....from 70 or so back to 1st gear...something is really F'd up under the hood. when it was all said and done the car was perfectly parked in the right lane as if i just pulled up. im going to have it towed to my garage and try to pull out what ever i can and keep it toward my next celi. had it not been for all these parts i have in the house now id be lost.

by the way...thanks batman...thats really important what you said...so i guess i'll hunt down a clean 94 or 95.

be safe everyone....it sucks losing what you value because of someone else!

Glad your okay thumbsup.gif sounds like some pretty intense quick thinking on your part that probably saved some lives! Most people that don't "drive for fun" (I mean like peolple that really know their cars and how to drive, not street racers) just freeze up the second they realize they are about to hit something.

Good Luck on your next Celi!

That sucks man, That really sucks. Glad you and your friend are alright though! Did the person that cut you off stop or anything? Did you get a plate number? I'd be all over them!

Yeah man i know how the belt is, same thing almost happened to me just a few weeks back, some ass just cut me off without signaling and almost hit my front. I did the same thing you did cept I gained control. Did you get his license, in situations like that you have taken the hit from him and pwned his insurance! How badly damage is the engine? Yo kid atleast your safe and no one is badly hurt. When and where was this? Im usually at the belt all the time. Where's your totalled celica at right now =(
