Yeah he's really popular amongst the ScionLife community. I'd be interested in getting my HVAC controls done but I already did my gauges with led bulbs.

Doing your gauges might cost a bit more since it will have to be custom. Our gauges use bulbs whereas the Tc and other newer vehicles just have onboard LEDs for their gauges. So he just desolders the old LEDs off and then solders the new colored ones on. He can definitely do our HVAC since it has the onboard LEDs, but the gauges would more than likely have to be a custom job for him.

Or maybe he could just make us some 194 style sockets to just install in the stock holes on the back of the gauges like the ones you can get online.
I'm very interested in the climate controls because they are the only things left in my car that are green and bulb type.

I'm planning to this weekend make up some replacement bulbs from LEDs to go into my instrument cluster. I did some experiments last weekend and I've discovered a way to ensure that the lighting all stays even by using a diffuser on the end of the LEDs.

The plan is to use 3 super insanely bricght LEDs in place of each of the three 194 bulbs. And making up little adaptors so you can mount them in the stock bulb sockets will be pretty straight forward.

I'll take some pictures during the process and write a how-to next week.

if you follow through with this how to, you'll be my favorite person in the world... for about 2.3 seconds.

i guess it's worth mentioning the 194 smt tower leds at superlumination

http://superlumination.com/194.htm

haven't bought or played with any yet, but in the shots it looks even better than the 5-led matrix (and even more expensive too, wow)
