I have a basically stock USDM 1996 GT convertable. I'd like to do an engine swap with the 2.0 liter Japanese engine (which I think is actually available stateside in mid 90's MR-2's). Since that engine powers both axles in Japan, I thought doing the 4WD conversion would be fairly simple. My question is what kind of actual difficulty is involved in this kind of conversion? Are there any trouble spots or things I need to look out for? And where are some places to shop around, especially for the right parts for 4WD?
