Hey,

I seen all these ideas on how to change gauges and such. I know it isn't the most favorable, but I just bought and installed a sony xplod unit into my car today, because it was the only unit I know of that had a red display and red speakers. Anyhow, I was wondering if there is a way to change the other lights. They show green. eeeeeeeewwwwww.

Okay I don't see anything in the How Tos that can help, and I can't find anything on the net. Perhaps I can attempt this on the CD player I just changed out of my car. So I can find out if it is going to damage it.

BTW - There is nothing wrong with the explod head units. My whole system is R-F except my Explod head unit which I wouldn't change out even if R-F made a head unit. The Atrac capabilties are unmatched IMO - hard to beat 300+ CD quality songs on one re-writtable CD. I'll never listen to MP3's again [it's unbelievable how crappy the MP3 sound is once you find something better]. Also their portable atrac players are the $hit as well. I have one with 8gigs n it and it rocks. Sony = best brand for the money IMO. The sound quality is largely a matter of opinion and the music the listener like plays a factor in that too. I know alot of people who swear by Pioneer Premier as well as other brands. IMO everyones ears are different and everyones wallets are different. Don't let people get you down. Opinions are like...

atrac3 is good in portable music players... through headphones, you can barely tell the difference.. but when you listen to them in the car, there'll be some annoying distortion/static. so you should re-encode them to higher bitrate quality if you choose to listen to them in the car...
.... but that's just me speaking in general and out of the blue..
