educate me!!!, 6th and 7th gen front suspension? Options

i know both in the front have the mac pherson strut set up as do the rears for the 6th gens but what is so diffrent about them? are the holes whre the strut mounts to the hub diffrent?

also what are the diffrences on the rear and front macpherson strut on the 6th gen? is there a stroke or height diffrence?

ive notices that the 7th gen JIC's for the front are macpherson set ups and was wondering if it was possible to put 7th gen jic coilovers on the front and the rear with a pillo mount for a 6th gen.

does anyoen know what the diffrences are?
