what is a new clutch good for ?
i know if its worn out, then its good to get a new one, which is what i had to do, but when you get a racing clutch, how exactly does that benefit you? i know its better for the strip so when you pop the clutch fast, it wont wear it out more and the clutch can handle it
anything else really?

The benefit of a "race" aplication clutch is the holding power and the feel of the shift. The stock is a fiberous disc that is made to hold the power of the stock engine and to have soft engagements along with long life. A race series ceramic 4 puck style is made to handle a pumped up engine that has high torque and high horse power. It will not engage soft and will chew up the flywheel and pressure plate on a daily driver. If you are looking for something that feels a little stronger get a higher clamping force pressure plate with an OE style clutch plate, like Centerforce or Clutchmasters. That will give you longevity and more firmer clutch engagement.
