So the other day my buddy at work told me that there is a weigh station close to my work. Its for semi truck trailers but there is just enough room for a car to squeeze on there. So I drove on, got out and just looked at the scale and saw that my car weighs 2930lbs. She is a porker but i love her. I dont know why everybody thinks it's fast. Maybe its the new wheels?

Mine weighed last time I was at the track... I dunno... 3 years ago... something like 2600 pounds with 16's and 1/2 tank of gas. It depends on the scale, the fuel, the wheels, the tires, speakers, crap in the car, sunroof, etc. Lots of little things. And yeah... I do expect the typical GT to be around 2800-2900 pounds. The 5S isn't a exactly a small lightweight motor compared to other 4 bangers. -------------------- "It's ok to be naked girl... I'm an artist!"

Just to state the obvious.
Our celica's where pretty well equipt from the factory. We get alot of goodies stock like power mirrors and rear windshield wipers (hatchback). If you look at the stock GT, it comes with alot of weight adding extra's (power window/power mirrors/rear wiper/power antenna/power sunroof) that you normally will not find on your cheap honda civic. oh yeah, I know that the GT is packed with all kinds of goodies that add weight. but it's still rated at 2580 lbs. so I don't see how it could gain like 400 pounds from a set of wheels and a full tank of gas.
