So, did a little spray paint on friday and then finished the other side today. looks like crap. but it matches better than silver. I've been driving with one side done since friday, and you can't really tell at night or from a distance, which is all I was hoping for anyway.

what do you mean? the spray painting is done. I do want to get a "real" paint job later on, but that won't be for a while.

Metallic paint is a nightmare to match. Your car looks metallic in the pics? The shade looks a bit too dark on the bit that you've done, did you get the correct paint code etc?... The finish looks decent enough though!

no I didn't get the correct paint code cause all I did was head to kragen and buy their "auto spray paint" and I got the color that looked closest to the color of my car. plus I primered and clear coated.

I replaced the fenders cause these are bullet fenders, not stock. they look cool. lol. and my stock fenders were severly dented up.

why not just leave on the messed up ones till you can afford to take them to a local shop and have them both painted for like 300 dollars or less.

cause then I would have nice freshly painted fenders that won't match the crappy oxidizing of the rest of the paint job! not worth it to spend $300 to have fenders painted when I want to repaint the whole car a different color anyway. I just got sidetracked with my turbo project. once that's finished I'll start saving some money for paint.

good job with a rattle can... I like those fenders, just not on the celica... The celi has virtually no sharp lines on the entire car, and now you're adding very sharp details to a very smooth car...
