i got an insane deal on a ported box from a friend, its a lame setup but i couldnt pass it up for the price.

here's the list
jensen 10'' sub x2
jensen 200w amp
large sealed and ported jensen box
total cost to me $45

i went to the car audio guy and bought the "kicker" 4awg 1000w maximum cables, it was a kit so i have all i need, right???

yes, it should include all you need
which is:
+12v wire(long)
ground wire (short)
REM wire(that you put on the ACC wire that goes to your radio)
RCA patch cables.

some pointers...

1. run the RCA lines on the opposite side of the vehicle from the power wire, otherwise you may get alternator whine.

2. find a good, solid ground, like a bolt that goes into the chassis, remove it, and w/ a wire brush, clean it senseless, if not, you may create a "ground loop" which again, will cause alternator whine.

3. Mount everything very good!!! i cannot tell you the importance of that.. when i 'drive spirited' my sub flys around my hatch and rips the wires out from my amp. not good.

thanks, yes its all there but could i ask how you hook your +12v wire to your battery. and from there how do you run it to the trunk? is there a hole in the firewall? or do i send it through the fender?
