I am trying to replace the front driver side axle assembly, but having problems removing the inner shaft out from the transmission -- i was able to remove the outer shaft from the knuckle hub, but when i pulled it out I guessI pulled to much it popped out of the inner shaft center --- it was pulling to the side when accelerating so when i took a look the rubber boot was torn part ways - so I decided to replace the entire DS axle assembly --

I found 6 bolts - but not sure if i'm suppose to remove them or not because in some of the reference I've seen - it instructed me to just pry it loose from the transmission - any help is appreciated

You do not unbolt anything from the transmission. You will need to simply pop it out. I recommend using or getting a fork for this, and use the grooves in the axle to pry it out.

Remember to replace the axle seal on the transmission side before replacing the axle. If you do not have a new one, inspect the old one to make sure its in good sealing condition.
