Yo 6gc'z
I need some help confirming that these D2 Coilovers will fit exactly with my car. Now i know that in the US the NA 6th gen. celicas had the chassis code AT-200. Where areas here in AUS we have ST-204R, correct? i've just been told from a person who works from D2 that they don't have an exact application listed for the ST-204R but they do have the following: - Celica NA ST 202 ST 203; (Macpherson type);Year 93-99 - Celica ST 202 ST203 (Super Strut); Year 93-99. Now im sure that the ST-202 were japanese made celicas with super struts 202 (SS-i/ii/iii) 203(convertable) correct? Now i know i have the macpherson type struts, so the question is do i risk ordering these coilovers, not knowing 100% that they would fit? I know sugarfree has D2 coilovers but not sure which exact part no# he got and if he had to modify anything to get them installed? Here's a few schematic diagrams with the different types of struts. Can anyone please ellaborate? Thanks -R NA Celica (Macpherson Type) http://members.optusnet.com.au/roms31gway/..._2D203_2DNA.bmp NA Celica (Super Strut Type) http://members.optusnet.com.au/roms31gway/...per_5FStrut.bmp This post has been edited by DSRT-FX: Jun 20, 2007 - 1:33 PM -------------------- ROM-23L 67 + 76 = 143

AT-200 is just for us ST's
GT's have ST-202 You will be fine with ordering the Macphersons I think only some SS-III's and all GT-fours have superstrut. This post has been edited by 95CelicaST: Jun 20, 2007 - 2:36 PM -------------------- 1991 MR2 - T-tops - Crimson Red - Gen3 3SGTE - Lots of money

Actually, USDM GT's are ST-204. Other than that, I agree that the OP will likely be ok with the Macphersons. -------------------- QUOTE(lagos @ Jul 10, 2006 - 1:55 PM) i know your trying to do the right thing for your motor, but this is one of those times where you should just trust the guys who have had their swaps for a while and have done a ton of research into this. |

ok seems like the macpherson's are the way to go. and since sugarfree has them on he's car i suppose that makes it more compatiable lol.
i just dont want to order them from another country and them not being able to fit in coz then i'd be stuck with them and that would suck ass! im trying to organise them from an australian distributor, that way warranty will be valid within the country and parts would be more easier to coem by. i know shipping internationally would cost wya too much if anyone else would care to add on please do so -R -------------------- ROM-23L 67 + 76 = 143

What made you choose D2's? I'm just concerned that they won't fit over my 18's... seems that everyone here who has them is running with 17's. If you haven't got them yet let me know, we might be able to work out a discount with him. Rob |
