this is the 2nd cv boot ive been through. is there any reason for it to rip??? ive checed all the thigns around it and i dont see a spot for it to rip on.

any comments??

are they all riping at the same spot?

your using the GT tranmission right? so it cant be the stretch axel problem... Maybe its from the extra heat?

yes im using an s54 trans with my swap. the same cv joint rips not sure if its exactly the same spot.

Was it replaced with a brand new one the first time it ripped?
Where did you get the boot from?
How many miles?

about 3k miles

boot came with the auto zone axle

the first axle was replaced because it was OEM and the boot gave way. The second was used and not rebuilt the boot DIDNT break on that but the cv was crunching SO i changed it for this one and with a few months the boot has ripped. Im getting another from auto zone free of charge.

n e way i hope this one does well

the rebuilt axles that autozone sells are of really poor quality. youll probably go through this a few times until you luck out with a good one.

get a new 1 from napa...they r like 160 bucks...i went through abt. 4 from advance auto then i got the 1 from napa and have had no problems.
