good question. i don't think anyone knows where since no one has done it legally. once you find out, let all of us know. we would all like to know where we can get our hands on a gt4.

He sounds like he hasn't done his research or he won the lottery. Importing a gt-4 isnt easy, it costs soooO00ooOO much money. Just wait until you can legally do it without paying so much money, here its 15 years after release.

Actually, here in US is 25 years.

i can import you one in 2009. Well, technicaly, i could do it now, but its gonna have to be sent back to japan within 6 months. By canadian law, the car must be 15 years old to the month to be legaly imported into canada, aswell as it must meet canadian standards, aka daytime running lights, english labes, km/h speedo, etc. If i did bring a 94 GT4 over for you, it would only be able to stay in the country for 6 months and only be used for show or track use. It cannot be registered as a legal car in canada, and after 6 months, if the car is not de-ported, it will be seized by the government, a fine of about $3K will need to be payed, if that fine isnt paid, the car will be crushed and you will still have to pay for the deportation of the cube of metal that your car once was. So, if you want, 5th gen all-tracs are easy enough to come by and i could get one of thouse for you in about 3 months time, but if you want an ST205, you gotta wait till 2009 and untill i got mine first.

lol what?...i wanna be one of the first to import one...plus im not gonna import one for some one else b4 i get mine..mainly cuz if i did import it i would probably just start driving it and make the person wait another month or 2 untill the next one is landed..lol

Am I the only one that isn't turned-on hardcore by the GT-4? It's a nice car and all, but I dunno...it doesn't arouse me. We have it without the tranny and engine. Good enough for me.

Well since a 92 Carlos Sainz is +- $8500 it shouldn't be that much...

i am not all that enthralled by the looks so much but the performance of the car. if i was a millionare and could afford doing an AWD conversion to my car i don't think i would be doing the bumper and hood. i like the hood a lot but it's not all that awe inspiring to me. personally i want the ssIII. that would be my choice.

Well since a 92 Carlos Sainz is +- $8500 it shouldn't be that much...

$8500?...have u been looking at j-specimports website??thouse guys and feist are theifs when it comes to cost and qaulity...they are all auction cars. I knew of 2 Carlos Sainz in toronto that were going for less than 6 about 4 months ago.

As for importing..it doesnt cost sooooooooo much money. It costs about $1500-$2000 for a container that will hold any where from 1-6 cars, you have to pay duty on what ever the cost of the car is, $100 if its got A/C and then GST...Duty on the canadian side is only about...4% i think, and GST *general sales tax* here, is 7%. So you take the cost of the creat split 6 ways, theres an additional $333 u add to the price of the car, aswell as the other costs. All in all, it adds maybe $1500 if that onto the original purchase price. Like when we just imported sarah's coupe...with the $100 A/C tax, duty and GST, we only paid $220 on it. it doesnt cost alot to import, its just gettin contacts to export and find cars is the hard part.

Most companies that export/import cars buy auction cars...aka they buy em, and sell em. Dont check em. Probably 85% of the importing companies out there will charge you another $250 or so for a mechanic in japan to take a look at the car and make sure its in full running order and to make sure nothing will need replacement. With the company im working with, we have a contact in japan who buys cars off private parties and car lots. He then also checks over every car b4 he ships it so that we know if and what the problems are b4 we get the cars. Last year we had a 91 MR2T come over and the guy was miss firing and bogging like crazy, we completely forgot about the notice that the guy in japan sends us if theres a problem. Sure enough it was just somethin as simple as a new coil and wires and it ran fine. We covered the cost at our own expence because we messed up and didnt catch it b4 we sold the car.

But even if you wanted a 5th gen all-trac, i could get you one for around 5.5K or 6.5K for a WRC group A, or a Carlos Sainz...depending on the mods and km on it. Some cars we sell are completely stock with really low km on it, others are dont up to the tits, and others are slightly modded with mid kms....its all related to cost. Most of the cars we import have roughly 100xxxKM on it or a bit more or less. Highest km car we have imported so far has been my friend & the owner of the companies Benz that has 156xxxkm on it.

Before any one buys a car from japan, make sure you research it and the company b4 you buy. before the company i work with got started, my friend imported a 180sx from japan...cost him almost $10K...the thing needed a new front bumper, suspension, wheel bearings, brakes, some body work on the rear 1/4 pannel, a new headlight motor and half the dash. When he got the pics off the net from the company he bought it from *cough* Feist *cough*, they made it look sooo fantastic, then he got it, and regreted it...we put maybe $200 of stuff into it, then sold it for $3k higher than what he bought it for to some kid who was all excited about RHD cars. Just check with other people about the company, if you can see if you can see the quality of cars they import b4 u buy, and see what they do and dont do for you regarding registeration.
