I've been reading far too much misinformation on this site lately and want to do something about it. Also, this is my way of giving back to the 6gc community, that really motivated my car passion when I was 16. So, keep in mind I no longer own a 6GC so I can't provide too in depth how-to's with pics and a celica to reference. But I feel as if I can supply all the theory information and answer a bunch of questions.
So let me know what kinda how-to or FAQ you wanna see, and I'll apply that college degree of mine to aiding you guys. -------------------- NASA/SCCA RX-7....currently under the knife

wideband with a piggy back unit. is going to be TOO specific for any how to.
it depends on your unit of choice. but to install a wideband o2 like the AEM wideband uego controller for example http://www.aempower.com/ViewCategory.aspx?CategoryID=67 is pretty simple take your car to an exhaust shop. Have them tap and weld an extra o2 bung into your down pipe. Thread in the wideband o2 sensor. run the needed wires into the car through the firewall (many ways) mount the gauge in desired location and connect the respective wires. (just as a general example) i wana see some techincal infoz why not start with nitrous This post has been edited by playr158: Jul 23, 2007 - 11:21 AM |

QUOTE the 6th gen community while it is a great one, and is making progress. is very behind the curve on car modification. Civics, mustangs, integras, cameros, and miatas ALL have major gains on us. How about you explain that first^ then you can ramble on about how nitrous is the answer to all our hp problems and the rest of the 6th gen community are noobs for not using it, cause thats why u started this thread... trust me i want to be on your side, but dont mess with us, please. give your opinion on things and leave it at that, i dont want to hear what is right and wrong for my car, i will decide that myself. |

QUOTE(devilsden97 @ Jul 24, 2007 - 1:35 PM) FAQ: "why isnt street racing chatter allowed on this site?" Are you asking this because so many people complain about it or because you're being a smartass? Lol. A write-up on the tune-up would be nice. Also, it'd be a little difficult to ask people on 6gc what they'd want a write-up of when you don't have a 6gc to take pics of when you actually do the write-up. Tune-Up: Spark Plugs Plug Wires Distributor Cap PVC Valve Gas Filter?<---can get a pic for reference if it's not called that... Maybe include: Valve Cover Gasket Maybe even a write-up for an oil change, some people don't know how to do it, I didn't at one point and had noone to show me. Bad times. -------------------- 2007 Subaru Impreza WRX STi 1974 Datsun 260Z 1997 Subaru Legacy L Wagon Kind of missin' my Celica GT! Hit me up if you're ever in my area.
