hey whats up guys!

i'm a noob and this may seem like a really stupid question but i feel like i have to ask cause if you guys can't help then who can? we have to stick together right? so i'm sorry if i piss anyone off by asking these questions

i want to clean my engine bay i wanted to know what the right cleaning tools would be for cleaning the hoses, the valve cover, and the exhaust manifold.

i wanted to make sure that i use the proper cleaners so as not to harm or corode anything in the engine bay further. all of your help will be greatly appreciated

thanks

you can spray all purpose cleaner into your engine bay and just rinse it out with water, make sure ur engine has been running for a few minutes so it dries faster, then just take some Neverdull, found at walmart, to your valve cover, it will look much better then it does.

Do not ever pour water onto your engine at all if it is HOT. Running your engine for more then ten minutes is all it takes to get the engine hot, (even shorter in hot climates). If you decide to pour water on your engine when it is hot you can cause your block to crack, heads to warp and alot of other crap. Imagine a hot skillet and put it under cold running water. Same idea with an engine. Either wash it first thing in the day or after it has had a chance to cool down. If your not sure if its cooled down, start the car and look at the temperature gauge.
Best of luck to ya.
