I have been searching all day and am just getting more frustrated than anything. I purchased a '94 Celica for my son and am trying to get it up and running before he gets home from summer break. But the previous owner said the ECU was bad and that's all it needed to get going. So after ebay, trdparts4u and several thousand sites off of google for ecu's can anyone point me in the right direction to getting this puppy running.

Also, how hard is it to pull and rebuild these engines?

Can anyone give me ideas on typical problems I am going to face with these models.

Again I appreciate all the help, oh and I have already ordered my '93 accord cai off ebay as directed in other threads.

thanks again.

Ok so I have called I think every shop in the US and have a variety of options on ECU's.

Can anyone tell me if the ECU from the same year range Corrolla 7afe will work for the Celica 7afe or are there differences in programming?

Thanks

dont jump into a new pcm just yet, make sure thats whats wrong first, the first step is to check that the CEL lights and see if any codes set when you try to start it. as for the PCM question, iirc theres 6 pcms. 7afe fed obd1, 7afe cali abd1, and 7afe obd2 for the manual trans and then the same 3 for the auto.

Well with a new battery i can't even get spark, so?

I am going to work on it this weekend and see, thanks to all who have been willing to give up info to a new celi owner. This is my first japanese car (other than a couple higher end lexus and I never worked on them fearing voiding warranty).

Any and all help is appreciated, also if there are any good clubs or shops in the Dallas area I would love to know.
