Guys/Girls,

My Girlfriend and I are going to Vegas for our holidays this year. We'll be flying out on the 10th September and staying for 2 weeks. We're really excited about this trip so I was wondering if anyone can give me the low-down on what to do/where to go once we're there? Obviously we've been looking on the web for info on Vegas but It would be great if any of you guys, especially those of you who know the area well could come up with some interesting things to do/places to visit that the websites may have missed out?

Cheers

Sounds like a fun time.. I haven't been to vegas. Maybe for my 21st birthday.

BTW, for your image if you want to make it your signature, just go to My Control on top right of the screen. Look of the left column for Edit Signature. Put your image link in that and it will post automatically every time.

Eat
1. Best seafood in LV at the Bellagio Buffet or Rio Buffet.
2. $3 steak and egg breakfast on the top level at Las Vegas Club
3. $5 steak meal at Ellis Island

Tour
1. Tigers at MGM
2. Super expensive shops at Caesar's Palace
3. Super cheap shops at Fashion Outlet (30 mins drive)
4. Hoover Dam (30 mins drive to visit a small old dirty dam)
5. Fountains at Bellagio
6. Shark Reef at Mandalay Bay (You have to pay to look at sharks... it's stupid)
7. GameWorks, M&M World, CocaCola Store (next to MGM)
8. Pirate show at Treasure Island (They rebranded themselves and changed the show. The new show IMO is VERY LAME).

Show
1. Blueman Group at Venetian
2. David Copperfield at MGM
3. Wayne Brady at Venetian
4. Celine Dion at Caesars Palace
5. Elton John at Caesars Palace

I think that's about it... for family... as for adult entertainment.... honestly I am not interested so I have no idea.

don't forget about all the free shows vegas has to offer, they're right on the vegas strip. you got the parite ship battle by treasure island, the amazing fountain display at the bellagio, the fire volcano, etc...

go to http://travel.discovery.com/ for some more info.

here is a hint:
whenever in vegas always have a watch. the casino floors do not have clocks and the staff are trained to brush off the "do you have the time" question. they want you to lose your sense of time so you stay at the tables longer.

Blue Man Group was awesome! Expensive, but totally unexpected, really great show. Also, as far as I remember where the Blue Man Group played they had a Beatles exhibit. Can't remember where though. The Bellagio is amazing. And I believe it was the Venetian where there was an indoor Gondala. The ceiling was painted like the sky, it was done really well, and the shops and everything were done like shops in Venice, with bridges side to side. My wife and I stayed in the Mirage, it was my 21st bday. The Mirage is sweet.

Note!: Be careful of the fridges in the rooms! That was the first time I was introduced to the sensors in the fridges, whenever you pick up an item, it charges that item to your room electronically. Crazy. Crazy expensive. Smaller than a can of soda of Sprite or whatever for $5. Ha!

If you dig the Japanese food, go to the J.W. Marriot and go to Shizen... It's my uncles restaurant.

I went to TAO (pronounced like dow but who knows how they obliterated it) while I was there and wasn't impressed at all. Not too sure where exactly it is though...just stay away!
